THANK YOU to the parents who attended the board meeting to speak up for parental rights. It was difficult to hear Encinitas parents who support parental rights over loud non-residents and teachers who filled the room. However, our voices matter and the battle to restore parental rights is far from over.

If you are a former or current EUSD parent, it is important for you to voice your support of parental rights to the board. Please mark the next board meeting on your calendar and plan to attend with a prepared 2-minute speech: June 18th @ 6pm. It is best to arrive at the district office by 5:30 and fill out a blue speaker slip for a "non-agenda item." It is important that board members hear parents ask for parental rights and transparency.

Here are the highlights from last night:

· One parent exposed how Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, Amy Illingworth, refuses to share teacher training materials with parents that cover controversial topics such as the Gender Unicorn and the EUSD Privacy Clause.

· Another parent exposed how EUSD contracted Kathie Moehlig of TransFamily Support Services, an organization that facilitates "gender affirming surgery," to manipulate a family who did not want to transition their child into affirming their child as the opposite gender. It is the "sweet spot" of what they do.

· Another parent shared that La Costa Heights PTA, with permission from the La Costa Heights Principal, promoted a "Pink Out The Hate" day where they encouraged school children to wear pink in response to "hate". The "hate" the PTA was referencing was parent opposition to the controversial content.

· An EUSD teacher explained that teachers are given district funds to purchase ideological content for their classrooms.

· That same teacher shared that EUSD does not notify parents that the 5th Grade Human Growth and Health Curriculum covers the topic of gender fluidity, a topic that is not listed in the letter EUSD sends to parents.

· Many parents raised concerns about EUSD being inequitable to parents while boasting that "equity" is a core value of the district.

· Another person exposed how EUSD is expanding class sizes due to inadequate funding while spending tax dollars on DEI employee salaries a DEI-dedicated podcast, hosted by Assistant Superintendent Amy Illingworth.

· Many parents asked that the district enact a clear opt-in policy that supports parents in the upbringing of their children, especially when it comes to controversial topics.

Thank you, again, to the parents who attended the meeting.

Thank you also to the teachers who were respectful of parents.

We appreciate all of you!
