Last year, the city of Dyersburg almost killed an innocent dog. It took more than 600,000 signatures on Change.org to spare his life, but even then, Beau’s owner, Danny, was forced to sign an agreement labeling Beau “vicious” and promising never to bring him into town again. .

In order to save his life, Danny conceded and even moved out of town so that he and Beau could remain together. But that “vicious” label has followed them. If Beau has any more issues with the law, he could be put down instantly. The entire ordeal has caused them a lot of stress, and we want to get them some relief.  

Please join us in asking Mayor John Holden to pardon Beau. Beau never once had an issue with viciousness while in city custody or at the no-kill shelter. He isn’t a dangerous dog. In fact, he is quite the opposite -- a fun-loving, cuddly pet that brings his owner much love.

We feel that, since it has been a year and there has been no proof that Beau is vicious, the label should be removed so that he and his owner can get back to normal life.

Mayor John Holden has the ability to make all of this go away by pardoning Beau. But in case he refuses, we also humbly request that Governor Haslam review the situation as well.
