Fans of Spongebob were disappointed when it was announced that Sponge On The Run, instead of hitting theaters, would be moved to streaming services in 2021. More outraged fans occurred when it was also announced that it would be receiving a theatrical release in the Canada in August 2020. We requested that Paramount and Nickelodeon change their plans and release Sponge On The Run in theaters in the US by, at the earliest, Fall 2020. It would be a great way to honor Stephen Hillenburg since it would be close to the 2 year anniversary of his death.
