In 1981 "The Godfather 1902 - 1959: The Complete Epic" was released on video. This was an edit of both "The Godfather" and "The Godfather: Part II" that combined both movies as well as added additional footage (in the form of deleted scenes). The only downside was that it was censored for television; However, HBO aired the uncensored version in 2016.

Then in 1990, Francis Ford Coppola, Barry Malkin and Walter Murch did the same treatment with "The Godfather: Part III" and "The Godfather Trilogy: 1901 - 1980" was born. The only downside to THIS, is that it was only released on VHS and Laserdisc.

Here we are in 2019 (almost 2020) and still no DVD or Blu-ray version of "The Godfather Trilogy: 1901 - 1980" has been released. For all of you Godfather fans out there, let's show our support and get this "super cut" of one of the greatest movies/trilogies ever released in a more modern format!
