To the principal,
Amidst the covid-19 pandemic, the schools decided to reopen for classes 10-12th without a choice of hybrid mode for the final exams. With almost 1000 cases still appearing everyday, ignoring the reality and severity of the situation is daft. It is true that the cases are slowly decreasing; but does decrease signify clearing up of the situation? The new variant is around the corner and is said to be fatal, and whereas it is good to move back to offline school, keeping up with the current circumstances, it is vital to understand all sides of the situation.

1. Vaccination and covid- When the vaccine was out, 65% children got the first dose. Many got covid one week after the vaccination. According to the news and guidelines, people who got covid recently have to wait 90days (3months) for the 2nd dose. So can we ask these students to come to the school? can we ensure the safety of them and the others through this? can a child attend offline school after the physical and mental toll of covid?

2. Family and children- We all have elders and children in our house. Children who are not vaccinated, are prone to covid! The elders who have respiratory issues are also very much prone to covid. If even one child has it, and as we already know that the vaccine is not helping stop many cases, can we risk the at home situation of numerous students for the sake of conducting the paper?

3. 11th does not have boards. And many schools are conducting the exams in hybrid mode, with the situation on the bridge, it doesn't mean that school doesn't want it's students to experience offline school, it just means it is sensitive enough to three needs of the students, for whom it is not crucial to give offline papers.

4. Suppose a student is tested positive for covid. Would the whole close be then forced to home isolation?
And what about their exams would they be then asked to give online exams?
