Currently, mobile food trucks are prohibited from operating within the Panama City Beach City limits as well as the unincorporated areas of Bay County. The only permits available for local food trucks are temporary "parking lot" permits that require them to pay the same amount of money to operate DAILY as Panama City requires YEARLY. This "parking lot" permit works well for vendors who want to open for a very short period of time during large events (Spring Break and Thunder Beach), but makes it impossible for locally owned and operated food trucks to serve the residents of Panama City Beach throughout the rest of the year.
