There is Still Hope for Behavioral Dogs!

Marissa DeponteMililani, HI, United States

The two "behavioral issue" dogs that remain still have hope! Volunteers including myself have been calling and emailing various facilities and organizations to seek help, advice, or a forever home for these two dogs that still have not been made available for the normal public adoption process. And just a few hours ago, an expert in behavioral issues (specifically, aggression) called me to tell me that he finally connected with the Director of Operations at HHS! Chance Bateman of Focused K9s on another island explained to the HHS director that he is willing to volunteer his time and knowledge to re-evaluate the remaining two dogs. Although this is not a forever home, this certainly will open up the possibility of other solutions--solutions that may not have been there before! This may be a few weeks into the making, but there is definitely hope. And with an expert willing to take the time like this for the dog community, there is a larger likelihood that this situation will never happen again, especially because HHS is such a visible organization. Thank you, ALL, for your continued support, concern, and PRAYERS.
