An image of a Kia Soul is currently being presented as an example for a “Standard” size sedan on Enterprise.com and other car rental related websites (Expedia, Hotwire, Rentalcars.com, etc.). An image of a Kia Soul can easily be interpreted as an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) to those that may be unfamiliar with the vehicle. In reality, it is a midsize sedan with a hatchback. Enterprise Rent-A-Car customers are booking reservations for what they believe to be a proper SUV because of this image being presented to them upon booking. Enterprise does not guarantee a specific make and model, only a car class. Upon arrival to an Enterprise branch, customers are shown an actual Kia Soul or similar Standard size vehicle, and are often displeased with the size, lack of space, and lack of features (i.e. 4x4). Actual SUVs will typically be twice the price of a Standard size vehicle, which customers also (understandably) find upsetting. For a brand that prides themselves in customer service, a more accurate depiction of what a Standard size car should be used on Enterprise.com and related websites used for reserving a rental car.
