The response to the above document request was generated by new DeSantis appointee FL Attorney General James Uthmeier, DeSantis' former Chief of Staff, after DeSantis appointed Ashley Moody to fill Marco Rubio's Senate vacancy.  DeSantis installed James Uthmeier to cover-up for his appointee U.S. Senator Ashley Moody and the newly Trump nominated U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The regimes of Pam Bondi and Ashley Moody in Florida set the tone that "anything goes" for prosecutors and judges when pursuing lawfare against targeted individuals.  In one of the most highly documented cases, State of Florida v. Huminski, the State pursued a criminal prosecution;

• Without a criminal statute
• Without authoring a charging document
• Without the government serving any document to commence the case
• Without a statutory, rule or other authority supportive of the State's status as a criminal plaintiff
• Absent government standing to participate in the case in the absence of a crime or cause of action.

The criminal justice climate under Pam Bondi and Ashley Moody sent the strong message that prosecutors/judges can use the power of criminal prosecution to unlawfully harass and target individuals without interference from State officials.  Ashley Moody became very involved in the case and chose to support the prosecution with her filing of two appellate briefs.

Florida has already admitted that State v. Huminski contained no assertion of a violation of a criminal statute, a crime.  The pending document requests the legal authority that allowed the State to participate in the case as a plaintiff.  The legal authority is likely absent and the motive is plainly ruthless retaliation for engaging in protected speech.  A response to the pending request will clarify the morality and ethics of Pam Bondi and Ashley Moody.  So far zero response for months on end.
