Protests Will Continue Until Palma Gives an Answer

The pressure on Palma City Council is not going away. Campaigners fighting to end horse-drawn carriages have announced that they plan to demonstrate every Saturday throughout September until the council gives a clear answer on when the industry will finally be abolished. They are demanding a firm timetable for removing horse-drawn carriages from Palma’s streets and a plan for the horses currently being used by the industry.  After years of broken promises and delays, campaigners are making sure the council cannot simply wait for the controversy to disappear.
