The Issue

 Palm Coast City Council,

We DEMAND you rescind the water and sewerage rate increase that the current residents of Palm Coast are about to be burdened with.

It’s imperative that you are charging IMPACT FEES to all property developers.

Tell me more about this IMPACT FEE….

WHAT?

Impact fees are one-time charges imposed by local governments on developers to help cover the costs of infrastructure needed to accommodate new development, such as roads, utilities, schools, parks, and public facilities.

WHY?

The purpose of impact fees is to ensure that new development pays its fair share of the costs associated with growth, preventing existing residents from bearing the burden of infrastructure improvements.

WHO?

Impact fees are assessed and due from anyone who builds a new residence or commercial building or changes the use of an existing building.

HOW?

The calculation of impact fees must be based on the most recent and localized data, and the fees must be proportional and reasonably connected to the need for additional capital facilities and the increased impact generated by the new construction.

Fun Fact: In 2022, Palm Coast City Council voted and approved a 151% pay increase, added benefits and annual bonuses for themselves, despite residents being opposed to the proposal.

We are DONE getting screwed over!

I URGE ANY RESIDENT OF PALM COAST TO SIGN THIS PETITION!

Sincerely,

One fed up resident.
