Sanitize William T. Dwyer after MRSA Breakout

The Issue

As you may have heard, there has been a handful of MRSA incidents in some of our local schools. There was an email recently sent out stating that the CDC was coming to clean our whole school. Upon coming to school on Monday, April 29, 2019, I’d strongly argue that our school was indeed not cleaned. After talking with a few teachers and a couple of my peers, many have expressed that classes and bathrooms were for-sure not cleaned. Not only that, there is never soap in any of the girl or boy bathrooms. The easiest way to prevent the spread of disease is to have clean facilities. And at the least having hand soap in both girl and boy bathrooms. Also, having alcohol based hand sanitizers in all classrooms, that don’t have to be provided by teachers. If you are going to assure parents, teachers and students that your school is going to be entirely cleaned, and then not follow through with such promises, at least provide the school faculty and teachers with antibacterial supplies in order to clean. Teachers shouldn’t have to supply it themselves. Clean facilities are a responsibility of the schools, and something should be done about that. Sign this petition to get the school districts attention to do something about this.
