Say "Yes" to a Spring Training Stadium in John Prince Park

Spring training for major league baseball enjoys a long history on the east coast of Florida and Palm Beach County currently is home to two such teams. There are two other teams that are looking for a home. Right now there are just three teams remaining on the east coast of Florida. If these two teams end up not chosing a Palm Beach County location, it may spell the end to the other teams in the area due to longer travel times and expense. Palm Beach County could lose the teams to Arizona. The economic fallout would be significant and tear apart the traditional association between Spring baseball and Florida. A site exists that is currently part of the county's park system, known as John Prince Park. It is centrally located in the county, near major transportation facilities - including mass transit. The park is already home to sports facilities and has enough 75+- acres of vacant, unused land which represents only about ten percent of the total area of the park area to house such a stadium. Local communities are working together to support the concept and attract the teams.
