Kennywood has just announced without prior notice that they are removing the Kangaroo and Paratrooper rides. The Kangaroo is the last remaining ride of its kind in the WORLD, which Kennywood touts prior to boarding the ride. This one of kind “Flying Coaster” debuted at the park in 1962, where it remains a crowd favorite of all ages. The Paratrooper has been a classic ride in Kennywood for over 60 years and one of the few “in-between” rides left in the park. We are petitioning Kennywood to relocate these rides to “Lost Kennywood” in place of other games or food stands that remain closed most, if not all of the year. At the very least we would like to see these rides remain in the park.
