Eliminate Quota in Sindh Urban Districts !!!

The "Quota System" in the province of Sindh enforced by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was imposed in 1973 for 10 years, in 1983 General Mohammad
Zia-ul-Haq extended it for 10 years. In 1993 Nawaz Sharif Extended it for another 20 years then in 2013 again Nawaz sharif extended it
for additional 20 years. In 2033, it mark be 60 years of quota system in Sindh and according to some it will be extended for another 20 years.

In 1973; Post quota disturbance, a "Joint Memorandum" was signed between the seniors of both Rural and Urban communities. Accordingly,
it was agreed that in addition to Quota Syatem, All "Top Public Positions" will be shared by both communities (e.g. Chief Minister/Governor, I.G. Police/D.I.G. Police, Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner and etc.). The setup was initially followed but later on it was totally ignored.

The quota system hits the Muhajir's community Administrative control over Government and Public services and their Economic prosperity.

After Indo-Pak division the People migrated from India (U.P., C.P., Bihar & South) and mostly settled in Karachi are known as "Mohajir.
The "Mohajir" majority were well educated, and mostly were part of the Government/Public services.

History of Systematic Unjust with Mohajirs:
- 1959; 1st. bulk removal of Mohajirs from Government/Public services by General Ayub Khan.
- 1960; Pakistan's initial Capital Relocated from Karachi to Islamabad.
- 1969; 2nd. bulk removal of Mohajirs from Government/Public services by General Yahya Khan.
- 1973; Quota System for Sindh Urban (Karachi, Hyderabad & Sukkur) in the entry of Mohajirs in Government/Public service and Professional
Education Institutions.
- 1973; 3rd. bulk removal of Mohajirs from Government/Public services by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
- 1973; Easy availability of the Domicile of Sindh Urban Areas, especially Karachi.
- 1974; Denial for the rehabilitation of Mohajirs (Stranded Pakistanis in Bangla Desh).

Under this highly discriminatory "Quota System", Sindh's "Rural Population" was granted a 60% quota in all Government jobs and Professional
educational institutions, whereas a mere 40% was reserved for the province's "Majority Urban Population", part of which is also taken away
by the easy provision of Karachi Domicile.

All appointments from Peon to Commissioner are based on Unjust Quota System, Nepotism, Favoritism and Discrimination. Just visit any Government
Office in Karachi you will notice people from "Rural Sindh", drawing heavy salaries while doing nothing. They have been brought here directly
from remote areas and they are complete strangers to the "Urban Scenario".

We urge Supreme Court of Pakistan, Leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party who been ruling Sindh for many decades and Specially Prime Minister of Pakistan
"Imran Khan" to intervene in this special need of the people of Karachi.

To redress the gross imbalance in the Federal and Provincial Civil Services and Local Government Administration.
