Creo que uno de los mayores problemas a la hora de adoptar animales sin hogar es la falta de visibilidad, que de vez en cuando en las noticias aparezcan estadísticas o imágenes (sobre todo en verano) de animales abandonados no es suficiente.

Si vas por la sección de animales de un supermercado te darás cuenta de que cada saco de pienso de perro o de arena de gato del pasillo tiene la foto de un animal. Mi idea es que en vez de "un animal cualquiera" saliera una foto de un animal que se puede adoptar y un mensaje donde pusiera algo como "Adóptame" y el número de contacto de algún refugio de animales. Esto no solo daría visibilidad a los animales abandonados, también ayudaría a eliminar la imagen de animales enfermos, viejos o feos. Las empresas que se ofrezcan a llevar estas imágenes mostrarían un compromiso real con los animales, por lo que es un cambio sencillo con el que todos ganamos.

Por experiencia propia sé que los animales de la calle no son distintos a los que tienes en casa, solo han tenido mala suerte, de nosotros depende empezar a cambiarla y en este caso ayudar es muy fácil. Esta petición está dirigida al Partido Animalista y a las principales cadenas de supermercados, por favor, firma y ayuda a difundirlo.

I think that one of the biggest problems of adopting homeless animals is the lack of visibility; sometimes news talk about stadistics or show images of abandoned animals,
but that’s not enough.

If you walk through the pet supplies section of any supermarket you will see that every bag of dog food or cat sand have the picture of an animal on it’s front.
My idea is to replace the pictures of "regular animals" for pictures of animals that can be addopted and an "Addopt me" message with the number of the animal shelter.
This would improve the visibility of abandoned animals and also would help to remove their image of sick, old and ugly animals. The companies that agreed to carry these pictures would show a real commitment to this animals, it is a small change that would make us all win.

Because of my own experience I know that homeless animals are not different from the animals that live in homes, they were just unlucky. We can try to change that and helping is really easy.

This request is addressed to the most important supermarkets in Spain and also to a political party that fights for animal’s rights.
