Zara: Stop the usage of child labour

The Issue

I am a concerned consumer that recently discovered that many of the stores which are easily accessible to the public use child labour. One of these stores being ZARA. It has been stated before that a pair of ZARA jeans which were sold for $126 only cost $1.14 to make. That $1.14 is then distributed amongst the seven people who produced that pair of jeans. This means each person who contributed in making this pair of jeans was paid about 16 cents. This is an extremely appalling idea to grasp.

ZARA has established many manufacturing factories in various countries in South America. It has been proven that within these factories, the workers are forced to work long hours, have low wages, and live in the workplace which is cramped, poorly ventilated and there is no proper lighting. Many of those working in these conditions, of which includes children, have had their official documents taken away from them and are held against their will to work in these factories.

With this petition, I hope that the CEO of ZARA will exterminate the problem of unfair labour and ensure that this issue will no longer be linked to ZARA.
