I love supporting businesses with great plant-based options. This lets companies know there is demand for these menu items, and animal lovers everywhere can continue to enjoy at their favorite spots. I used to love P.F. Chang’s for its variety of tofu dishes and vegetable curries.

That’s why I was disturbed to find out that P.F. Chang’s has failed to uphold its anti-animal cruelty promises. In 2016, the company pledged to transition to 100% cage-free eggs by the year 2025. 

Cage-free commitments are a significant first step in sparking real change for animals at the corporate level. In “battery cages,” as many as 10 egg-laying hens can be packed together into a barren cage the size of a filing cabinet drawer. They spend their entire lives unable to extend their wings or even stand with their heads raised. Most customers agree that confining hens to cramped cages is both unethical and unacceptable.

As of 2024, P.F. Chang’s has not only failed to uphold its cage-free pledge, they have entirely removed their policy on animal welfare standards.

Help us call on P.F. Chang’s to reinstate its pledge for a 100% cage-free business by 2025. Signing our petition will make P.F. Chang’s aware that it will be featured in The Humane League’s 2024 Eggsposé for its lack of transparency with customers.
