Depuis le 14 janvier 2021, malgré de longs et coûteux travaux de rénovation, le pont international piétons-vélos Avenida entre Hendaye et Irun est fermé par décision administrative du gouvernement français.
Après 24 heures d’ouverture exceptionnelle pour le Tour de France, le 3 juillet dernier, la fermeture le 4 juillet du pont international Avenida entre Hendaye et Irun a provoqué un véritable choc chez de nombreuses et nombreux habitant(e)s d’Hendaye, d’Irun, Hondarribia et des communes voisines.
Pour que ce pont international et transfrontalier, qui fait partie de l’histoire et du patrimoine de ces habitant(e)s, retrouve sa vocation première, 30 hendayaises et hendayais ont eu l’idée de lancer une pétition le mardi 8 août 2023, en présence de la presse, pour dire OUI à la réouverture du pont Avenida dans le cadre d’une démarche populaire, humaniste, pacifique, apolitique et a-confessionnelle.
Dans un communiqué daté du mercredi 9 août 2023, l'Ararteko (Haut-commissaire du Pays Basque Sud pour la défense des droits des citoyens) a indiqué « avoir mené une série d’actions devant le Défenseur des droits de la France et le Médiateur européen, visant à inciter les autorités françaises » à rouvrir le pont Avenida, « compte tenu des graves conséquences de cette fermeture pour la population résidant dans les municipalités frontalières. » L’Ararteko « a également informé le Médiateur espagnol des mesures prises. »
Notre campagne de récolte des signatures s’achèvera le dimanche 1er octobre 2023.
Le samedi 7 octobre 2023 à 11h - devant le pont Avenida, côté Hendaye, les 30 signataires remettront au Maire de Hendaye les pétitions signées (sous format électronique et papier) pour qu’il les remette au Préfet des Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
Aujourd’hui, dimanche 20 août 2023, la pétition a recueilli 5 000 signatures. Cette première étape témoigne d’un écho favorable dans la population et nous remercions toutes et tous les signataires pour leur soutien inconditionnel.
Aujourd’hui, nous souhaitons poursuivre notre action dans cette belle dynamique en recueillant d’ici une dizaine de jours un total de plus de 6 000 signatures.
Pour ce faire, nous invitons toutes celles et tous ceux qui le peuvent à se joindre à nous dans cette belle aventure en prenant part à la campagne et aux actions que nous menons pour continuer à faire circuler cette pétition sous format papier et électronique et rassembler le plus grand nombre de signatures. 5.000 sinadura (2 897 formatu elektronikoan eta 2 103 paperean) baino gehiago lortu ondoren 12 egunetan sinadurak biltzeko kanpaina jarraitzen du ! Eskerrik asko deneri !
Lehen urrats horrek jendearen artean oihartzun ona erakusten du eta sinatzaile guziak eskertzen ditugu haien baldintzarik gabeko laguntzagatik. Gaur, gure ekintza dinamika eder horretan jarraitu nahi dugu, hemendik hamar bat egunetara 6 000 sinadura baino gehiago bilduz.
2021ko urtarrilaren 14a geroztik, nahiz eta berritze-lan luze eta garestiak egin, oinezkoentzako eta txirrindularientzako Avenida delako nazioarteko zubia itxita dago Hendaia eta Irun artean, Frantses gobernuaren erabaki administratibo batengatik.
Uztailaren 3an, Frantziako Tourrerako 24 orduko irekiera bereziaren ondoren, uztailaren 4an Hendaia eta Irun arteko Avenida nazioarteko zubia ixteak egiazko kolpea eragin du Hendaiako, Irungo, Hondarribiko eta inguruko herrietako biztanle ainitzen artean.
Biztanle hauen historiaren eta ondarearen parte den zubi honek bere lehen bokazioa berreskura dezan, 2023ko abuztuaren 8an (asteartea) prentsaren aitzinean, 30 hendaiarrek* eskaera bat egitea pentsatu dute Avenida zubiaren berriz irekitzeari BAI erraiteko, urrats herrikoi, humanista, baketsu, apolitiko eta a-konfesional baten barnean.
2023ko abuztuaren 9ko (asteazkena) prentsa ohar batean, Arartekoak (Herritarren eskubideen defentsarako Hego Euskal Herriko goi-komisarioak) adierazi du « Frantziako eskubideen defendatzailearen eta Europako Bitartekariaren aurrean ekintza batzuk egin dituela, Frantziako agintariak bultzatzeko » Avenida zubia berriz ireki dezaten, « itxiera horrek mugako udalerrietan bizi diren herritarrentzat dituen ondorio larriak kontuan hartuta. » Arartekoak « hartutako neurrien berri ere eman dio Espainiako herriaren defendatzaileari eman. »
Gure sinadurak biltzeko kanpaina 2023ko urriaren 1ean (igandea) amaituko da. 2023ko urriaren 7an - 11etan (larunbata), Avenida zubian Hendaiako aldean, 30 sinatzaileek Hendaiako auzapezari emanen dizkiote izenpetuak diren eskaerak (formatu elektronikoan eta paperean), Pirinio Atlantikoetako prefetari eman diezazkion.
Gaur, 2023ko abuztuaren 20an (igandea), eskaerak 5 000 sinadura baino gehiago bildu ditu. Lehen urrats horrek jendearen artean oihartzun ona erakusten du eta sinatzaile guziak eskertzen ditugu haien baldintzarik gabeko laguntzagatik.

Desde el 14 de enero de 2021, a pesar de las largas y costosas obras de renovación, el puente internacional peatonal y ciclista Avenida entre Hendaya e Irún está cerrado por decisión administrativa del gobierno francés.
Tras 24 horas de apertura excepcional para el Tour de Francia el 3 de julio, el cierre del puente internacional de la Avenida entre Hendaya e Irún el 4 de julio supuso un verdadero shock para muchos residentes de Hendaya, Irún, Hondarribia y las ciudades vecinas.
Para que este puente internacional transfronterizo, que forma parte de la historia y del patrimonio de estos residentes, recupere su función original, 30 hendayenses tuvieron la idea de lanzar una petición el martes 8 de agosto de 2023, en presencia de la prensa, para decir SÍ a la reapertura del puente Avenida en un enfoque popular, humanista, pacífica, apolítica y aconfesional.
En un comunicado, el miércoles 9 de agosto de 2023, el Ararteko (Alto Comisionado de Hegoalde para la Defensa de los Derechos de la Ciudadanía) ha afirmado que ha "emprendido una serie de acciones ante el Defensor de los Derechos Humanos francés y el Defensor del Pueblo Europeo, encaminadas a instar a las autoridades francesas" a reabrir el puente de la Avenida, "dadas las graves consecuencias de este cierre para la población residente en los municipios fronterizos". El Ararteko también ha informado al Defensor del Pueblo español de las medidas adoptadas.
Nuestra campaña de recogida de firmas finalizará el domingo 1 de octubre de 2023.
El sábado 7 de octubre de 2023 a las 11h - frente al puente de la Avenida, en el lado de Hendaya, los 30 firmantes entregarán las peticiones firmadas (en formato electrónico y en papel) al Alcalde de Hendaya para que las entregue al Prefecto de los Pirineos Atlánticos (delegado del gobierno francés.
Hoy, Domingo 20 de agosto de 2023, la petición ha recogido 5.000 firmas. Este primer paso demuestra la respuesta favorable del público, y queremos agradecer a todos los firmantes su apoyo incondicional.
Hoy queremos aprovechar este impulso recogiendo en total más de 6.000 firmas en los próximos diez días.

Since 14 January 2021, despite lengthy and costly renovation work, the Avenida international pedestrian-bicycle bridge between Hendaye and Irun has been closed by administrative decision of the French government.
After 24 hours of exceptional opening for the Tour de France on 3 July, the closure of the Avenida international bridge between Hendaye and Irun on 4 July came as a real shock to many residents of Hendaye, Irun, Hondarribia and neighbouring towns.
To ensure that this international, cross-border bridge, which is part of the history and heritage of these residents, regains its original purpose, 30 Hendayans came up with the idea of launching a petition on Tuesday 8 August 2023, in the presence of the press, to say YES to the reopening of the Avenida bridge as part of a popular, humanist, peaceful, apolitical and non-denominational initiative.
In a press release dated Wednesday 9 August 2023, Ararteko (the South Basque Country's High Commissioner for the Defense of Citizens' Rights) stated that it had "taken a series of actions before the French Defender of Rights and the European Ombudsman, aimed at encouraging the French authorities" to reopen the Avenida bridge, "given the serious consequences of this closure for the population living in the border municipalities". Ararteko has also informed the Spanish Ombudsman of the measures taken.
Our campaign to collect signatures will end on Sunday 1 October 2023.
On Saturday 7 October 2023 at 11am - in front of the Avenida bridge, on the Hendaye side, the 30 signatories will hand over the signed petitions (in electronic and paper format) to the Mayor of Hendaye so that he can hand them over to the Departmental Prefect of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
