En février 2025, soit 3 mois avant la fin de leur formation, les élèves de 3e année du Bachelor ARFA (Animateur et Réalisateur de Films d’Animation) apprennent que leur diplôme n’est et ne sera pas enregistré au Registre National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP). Pourtant, pendant deux années à Gobelins, l’administration de l’école avait promis oralement à de multiples reprises que le Bachelor serait reconnu par l'État grâce à cette certification à la fin de leur année diplômante.

La certification RNCP permet une meilleure insertion sur le marché de l’emploi car elle est un indicateur que la formation est adaptée à ce dernier. Elle se révèle également utile lors de parcours d’équivalences universitaires avec certains établissements. Une certification RNCP peut également aider à l’obtention d’un VISA permettant de rester sur le territoire Français afin d’y chercher du travail pour les étudiants extra-européens, leur VISA actuel expirant à la fin de leur troisième année.

La nouvelle d’un bachelor sans le RNCP promis depuis deux ans a fait tomber de haut beaucoup d’élèves. Certains d’entre eux sont déjà endettés à hauteur de plusieurs dizaines de milliers d’euros par des prêts étudiants. Le seul moyen actuellement d’avoir un RNCP garanti à Gobelins Paris est d’entrer au master d’Animation 2D CRFA, qui coûte quant à lui 20 000 euros, une impossibilité financière qui a fait tourner les talons à un grand nombre d’entre nous, et dont l'intégration nécessite une sélection et n’est donc absolument pas garantie après le bachelor.

Sur le site de la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie (CCI) de Paris et Ile-de-France, le niveau de sortie indique “un titre de niveau 6”, une évaluation qui laisse clairement sous-entendre que la formation pourrait être enregistrée RNCP. (Les licences inscrites officiellement sont évaluées “RNCP de niveau 6”).Sur le site officiel de l’école, l'évaluation du bachelor sur sa page dédiée est passée de “bachelor of arts (diplôme européen)” à simplement “diplôme d’école”.

Perdu entre ces qualificatifs changeants durant la formation en cours à notre insu ainsi que les promesses non-tenues, l’ensemble des élèves du bachelor se sent lésé et trompé. Nous n’avons pas la sensation d’avoir la main mise sur la nature de la formation que nous suivons alors que nous payons pour y avoir accès.

Après avoir envoyé un mail à l’administration de gobelins comprenant des questions et revendications de notre part concernant le RNCP, nous n’avons obtenu aucune réponse, et ce depuis plus de 10 jours.

Ainsi, l’ensemble du bachelor ARFA de Gobelins Paris fait appel à vous afin de nous soutenir et faire réagir l’administration face à nos demandes de clarté et nos revendications.

Les élèves du Bachelor Gobelins ARFA (Animateur et réalisateur de Films d’Animation) réclament ensemble, la demande et l’obtention par Gobelins Paris de la certification RNCP de la formation, afin de respecter son engagement induit depuis plusieurs années concernant la renommée du diplôme.

In February 2025, just three months before the end of their program, third-year students of the French Bachelor ARFA (Animator and Director of Animation Films) discovered that their degree would not be registered with the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP). Yet, for two years, the administration of Gobelins had repeatedly promised that this Bachelor’s degree would be recognized by the state through this certification at the end of their graduating year.

The RNCP certification provides better prospects for entering the job market, as it indicates that the program is adapted to the needs of the workforce. It is also useful when seeking academic equivalencies with certain institutions. For international students, an RNCP certification can assist in obtaining a visa that allows them to stay in France to search for employment, as their current visa expires at the end of their third year.

The announcement that the Bachelor’s degree would not be granted the promised RNCP certification, after two years of assurances, has come as a shock to many students. Some of them are already burdened with student loans amounting to tens of thousands of euros. The only way to obtain a guaranteed RNCP certification at Gobelins Paris is to enroll in the 2D Animation CRFA Master’s program, which costs 20,000 euros—an amount that is financially out of reach for many of us. Additionally, entry into this Master’s program requires a selection process, which makes it far from guaranteed after completing the Bachelor’s degree.

On the website of the Paris and Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the program’s level is listed as “level 6 title,” a description that strongly suggests the program could have been registered with the RNCP. (Officially registered bachelor’s degrees are evaluated as “RNCP level 6”).However, on the official school website, the program’s description has changed from “bachelor of Arts (European diploma)” to simply “school diploma.”

Confused by these changing qualifications throughout our ongoing program, and frustrated by the unfulfilled promises, all students in the Bachelor ARFA program feel misled and deceived. We do not feel that we have control over the nature of the program we are following, despite paying for it.

After sending an email to the Gobelins administration, outlining our questions and demands regarding the RNCP certification, we have received no response, even after more than 10 days.

In light of this, all students of the Bachelor ARFA program at Gobelins Paris are calling on your support to help raise awareness of our situation and encourage the administration to respond to our requests for clarity.

The students of the Gobelins ARFA Bachelor’s program (Animator and Director of Animation Films) jointly request that Gobelins Paris apply for and obtain the RNCP certification for our program, in line with the commitments made to us over the past several years.
