Bayt Lothan is set to be demolished soon to allow for plans of a commercial mall dedicated to restaurants and cafes. We hope that the owners consider the historical, cultural, and economic value of Bayt Lothan, before considering such an offer. Rather than its demolishing or restructuring, why not adapt it to nurture the antiquated facilities? Such examples exist around the world, where historical buildings adapt new, contemporary functions rather than being demolished. This would preserve its cultural value, emphasize its historical value as the home of the Late Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, and increase its economic value in many aspects, the least being cutting down construction costs. Furthermore, this is a plea to the public to understand the many impediments that are being enforced by the Kuwait Municipality, whom are pushing for tougher and more limiting licenses that weaken the proper functioning of Bayt Lothan and it's staff (which led to the eventual decision by the owner to not renew the contract). Help save a part of our past. Help save Bayt Lothan. We need to rally up for the preservation of valuable culture and history. Sign to show your support to the cause. سيتعرض المبنى التاريخي " بيت لوذان " للهدم قريبا لتنفيذ مخطط بناء مركز تجاري مخصص للمطاعم والمقاهي .. نتمنى من أصحاب القرار ومن ملاك بيت لوذان الالتفات إلى قيمة بيت لوذان الثقافية والتاريخية كمنزل للأمير الراحل الشيخ صباح السالم الصباح قبل اتخاذ قرار الهدم.. في جميع أنحاء العالم تتم صيانة والمحافظة على المباني التاريخية و تحويلها إلى مراكز معاصرة بدلاً من هدمها وبناء مبانٍ جديدة .. خيار كهذا سيحافظ على القيمة التاريخية والثقافية و سيساعد في زيادة قيمة بيت لوذان الاقتصادية ... ولكن في الكويت تتعرض مبانينا التاريخية للهدم و الإهمال .. هذا نداء للجميع للمساعدة في إنقاذ جزء من ماضينا ... نرجو التوقيع على هذه العريضة لإظهار الدعم الخاص لهذه القضية ..
