Owners at Southbank Old Klang Road received a notice from MO dated 24 Oct 2019 to remove pets kept at their unit within 7 days else action will be taken against respective owners. as a pet lover, I would like to ask for your kind favour to sign the petition for support as a pet lover or human kind who are not cold blooded.

Southbank is a service apartment in Kuala Lumpur. Our House Rules doesn’t explicitly disallow pets, it only mentioned not allowed to keep pets which may cause nuisances. Also, it used the word “Notwithstanding” at the following phrase that if the local authorities laws disallow then our House Rules will follow the local authorities laws. So our House Rules literally allow the pets if no disturbances and follow the local authorities law which will prevail our House Rules.

According to By-Law 14 in the Third Schedule of the Strata Management (Maintenance & Management) Regulations 2015, pets are allowed unless they cause annoyance or a nuisance and pose health risks to other residents in the property, Our MO wrongly quoted an outdated Strata Title Act 1985 which is no longer applicable.

We pet lovers are trying hard to reduce the number of stray dogs & our JMB  seems threatening the owners to dump the pets which are part of the family cruelly.

We requesting for the MO & JMB retract the incorrect memo dated 24 Oct 2019 immediately and apologize to all pets’ owners in Southbank & pet lovers at large.
