Pinning is a right of passage for many nursing students as you transition from student to RN. It means the world to nurses all over the country. This pin means more than just a metal pin you might put on your badge someday, it is a way for us to thank our motivators, our inspiration, and our mentors. Unfortunately due to COVID pandemic, not only our pinning, but our graduation was cancelled. Going into the health field we are aware that this is a serious pandemic and understand that following the current CDC recommendations for social distancing is key to gaining control on this horrible virus. However, we still worked for many years to give thanks to the people who got us there, and honestly right now we could all use something to look forward too. We are asking not for a date, or a time, but simply for a promise for a later date TBD over the summer or even if the administration would be open to discussing it. A nursing degree is hard earned and takes a lot of gut, not something we want to achieve through the mail. Thanks for taking time to consider and sign!
