Hello, I am making this petition because the upcoming game Overwatch 2 requires EVERYONE to add a post-paid cell phone number to their battle.net account to access the game.

Unfortunately, a lot of players that want to play Overwatch 2 won’t be able to because they have pre-paid cell phone service ( Cricket, Boost mobile, Mint mobile, etc…)  or no cell phone at all. The Verification System that Blizzard is using blocks ALL pre-paid numbers.

I believe this is extremely Anti-consumer and possibly illegal. To completely blacklist everyone that uses pre-paid cell service or people without a cell phone at all. 

There is currently around 30-35 million people that use pre-paid cellular service. With this system that Blizzard has made, these 30-35 million people have no access to the game.

My goal with this petition is for Blizzard to implement a way for people with pre-paid phones or no cell phone at all to be able to play Overwatch 2.
