The statement the alleged victim wrote. It was received by the courts prior to having plead guilty. My lawyer still recommended that I plead guilty because I was "a black man from Chicago" and the "jury would hang me." They lied and said there was DNA evidence when their wasn't. I was a teenager and thought that my public defender was looking out for my best interest. Now I know better but I'm still dealing with this 20+ years later, while the co-defendant is free from it all.
