The overpriced tricycle drivers take advantage of students like me and others as well. They charge a high fare even for short distances of only 50 to 100 meters. The fare can reach 50 to 100 pesos per person, but it should normally be less than that. Unfortunately, we often feel helpless because we are in a hurry to get where we need to go. For instance, I was almost late for our training because there were no tricycles passing by. Since I’m not very familiar with the area, I asked the driver how much the fare was, and he said 50 pesos, but my friend mentioned it should be 40. Usually, when we ask for the price, they increase it because we don’t know what it really should be. This behavior from the tricycle drivers is quite abusive.

If they didn’t, it would be a significant change. This would greatly help students who are still studying and often run out of money for commuting, especially if normal fares are not increased. It would be fairer and prevent the exploitation of commuters.
