Wagga City Council is refusing to provide its most vulnerable floodplain community with adequate flood protection. They bully Residents and are hostile towards them when they question Council's decisions, leaving residents helpless. 

It is 15 years on from the implementation of the 2005 Flood Prone Land Policy, and North Wagga Wagga is nowhere near securing protection.  

Council's inaction is causing unsustainable emotional and financial trauma. Wagga Council is either incompetent, corrupt or both in its decision to spend little money, if any, protecting North Wagga. 

The Creighton Report reveals that the Councillor who has been involved at every stage of the flood risk mitigation process for North Wagga is a secret developer.  ICAC and OLG will be investigating a possible link on the basis that North Wagga is prime land.  

Residents cannot rely on Council to do the right thing, and are seeking urgent State funding to by-pass Council and build the levee as a State Significant Development before the next flood occurs.
