As someone deeply moved and disturbed by the ongoing suffering of tethered horses, I petition for the swift prohibition of this cruel practice. The sorrowful sight of these majestic animals left tied up for weeks, months, and even years is a heartbreaking spectacle I witness daily. They are without a fulfilling quality of life, unable to keep warm through natural movement in the harsh winter, denied the simple pleasure of free grazing, and are ruthlessly stripped of the enriching experiences their lives should contain. 

According to The Horse Trust, tethered horses are highly susceptible to dehydration, malnutrition, parasitic infestations, and injuries caused by tethering equipment. This is beyond cruel, it is barbaric. There is no excuse for such blatant animal abuse, and our society should no longer tolerate it.

Justice and compassion should be accorded to every living being, human or animal. Hence, we implore legislative bodies to enact laws that will make the tethering of horses illegal.
