Thank you for supporting the North End restaurants against the unfair and unreasonable outdoor dining fees targeting only the North End restaurants. Because of your support, a compromise was reached with Mayor Wu regarding the fees. Outdoor dining in the North End starts May 1 with the majority of restaurants participating. Another chance for your voice to be heard. Jorge Mendoza, a North End business owner, has announced a last minute sticker/write-in campaign for the Boston city council District 1 seat. This special election is this Tuesday, May 3. If you are a registered voter in the North End, Charlestown, or East Boston and believe there needs to be a dissenting and alternative voice in Boston's current government, please go to your polling center this Tuesday, May 3. Either write-in Jorge Mendoza or grab a Jorge Mendoza sticker nearby and place it in the proper spot on the ballot. Thank you.
