We call on the Government to immediately put in place a strategy to establish a single Semi-state Authority encompassing Shannon International Airport, Cork International Airport and Dublin International Airport ensuring that its function is to establish an all Ireland approach with a specific emphasis on regional development to aviation and airport management.

We further call on the Government to ensure that the workers in Shannon affected by the Aer Lingus announcement of closure of its passenger operations at Shannon are given the full support and resources of the State. "
