Our Children Deserve Better: Say No to Bill Elliott at Senior Night

The Issue

We’re parents and community members asking for the removal of a petition that supports allowing Bill Elliott, the athletic director and head football coach currently on paid administrative leave, to attend Senior Night.

Mr. Elliott was placed on leave after serious allegations that he may have helped cover up his son’s inappropriate relationship with a student while substituting at the high school. His son was later charged with taking inappropriate photos of minors — reportedly more than 30 children — and allegedly installing cameras in the middle school locker room.

Our community is hurting. Many families are still reeling from the betrayal of trust and the trauma their children endured. Allowing Mr. Elliott to attend Senior Night would be deeply painful and disrespectful to those families and to every parent who believes schools should always put students’ safety first.

Senior Night should honor our students — not reopen wounds or remind victims of the harm done. This is about compassion, accountability, and doing what’s right.

Please help us stand with the families, protect our kids, and keep this event a safe, positive space for everyone.
