Over 380 Signatures and Counting – The City Knows the Infrastructure Wasn’t Enough!

Dear Supporters,
I’m excited to announce that we’ve surpassed 380 signatures on our petition to hold the City of Ottawa accountable for the damages from the August 10, 2023 flood! Your support has been incredible, and together, we’re showing the City that we won’t stand for inadequate infrastructure that fails to protect our homes.
You may have noticed that our streets are now full of pylons, with the City digging up nearly every sewer. This is clear evidence that they recognize the existing storm sewer system was not up to the task. Yet, they continue to deny responsibility and compensation for the flood damage that so many of us endured.
We’re not stopping here. Our next goal is to reach 500 signatures to strengthen our case and show the City that we’re serious about demanding accountability and change. Every additional signature gets us closer to ensuring no one else has to face these preventable hardships.
Please share this petition with friends, family, and neighbors. Let’s keep the pressure on and push forward together for the protection our community deserves.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to this important cause.
With gratitude,
Joe Achakji
