Oswego High School should offer an American Sign Language Course for hearing students as a foreign language credit. Doing so would allow for increased communication and collaboration between hearing and deaf/hard of hearing students. Granting students the opportunity to communicate in a new way will not only increase the feeling of community in the school but also provide valuable experience for students to consider if they would like to pursue American Sign Language in their college career.
