On May 27th 2012, a 3-month old great dane puppy fell from a second floor apartment window in Peterborough, Ontario which was left open and unattended. This is the THIRD time that a dog has fallen out of this window. The time before May 27th, the puppy was trapped on an awning under the window and due to the narrowness of the ledge; the dog was unable to get back inside. Firefighters were called, and the dog was rescued. OSPCA officers spoke to a witness and promised this dog would not return back to these owners. Three weeks later, the same dog fell out of the same window onto the sidewalk. The OSPCA not only allowed the dog to go back, but is now preventing concerned citizens from obtaining information about the dog, and could potentially give the dog back to the same owners again.

NOTE: we THOUGHT the puppy was being adopted as this is what the SPCA told us..but they LIED. Yesterday we heard word that the puppy HAS been returned to it's previous owners in the same apartment.
