Let Maycie Stanbro wear Girl Scout Green Cord at graduation

Let Maycie Stanbro wear Girl Scout Green Cord at graduation
The Issue
My name is Maycie Stanbro and I'm a senior at Oskaloosa High School in Oskaloosa, IA. I've been a Girl Scout since 1st grade, gone to Girl Scout Camp Tanglefoot for 8 years, and worked at the same camp for 2 years. As you can see, Girl Scouts is a huge part of my life and what has shaped me as a person.
Cords that aren't granted through the school are not supposed to be worn at graduation. This is so that not everyone asks to wear "vague" awards and cords at graduation. However, I asked my school to allow me to wear my green cord, which I received from Beth Shelton, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, for graduating as an Ambassador level Girl Scout, at graduation.
This award means more to me than any scholarship or other award I have received this year. I come from three generations of Girl Scouts and this is a huge achievement not only for me, but for my mom and my grandmother. Please consider signing this petition to not only make my hard work as a dedicated Girl Scout recognized, but to allow other graduating Girl Scouts to have their dedication recognized as well.
Thank you for your consideration,
Maycie Stanbro
