The Issue

As Western Osceola County continues to grow, the residents and 8,200,000 annual visitors deserve an adequate and conspicuous presence from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

We support the Osceola County Sheriff's Office in their request, as well as their need for an appropriate Sheriff substation in the West 192 Corridor of Osceola County.

The current substation off of North Poinciana Boulevard is not adequate or appropriate for the growing community.  It also does not provide the services or resources that Deputies protecting the West 192 Corridor need and deserve.  Further, the facility does not have a strong visual presence and is tucked away from more populated areas.

We urge the Osceola County Commissioners, as well as the Osceola County Manager to secure an appropriate facility along West 192 without delay and equip this facility with the tools and resources our Deputies deserve.
