Construct the Next New OCLS Library Branch in Horizon West
The Issue
WE SUPPORT PLANS TO CONSTRUCT THE NEXT OCLS LIBRARY IN HORIZON WEST
Dear OCLS Director, OCLS Staff, OCLS Board of Trustees, and Library District Governing Board,
With the explosive growth in the Horizon West area, our large and growing community has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a local OCLS Library Branch. As residents of Horizon West, we want to express our deep appreciation and support of the OCLS Board of Trustees’ January 14, 2021 vote to commit to proceeding with the steps necessary to purchase land and construct a library branch in Horizon West(at the Tiny Rd Location).
We are looking forward to having a local library branch and the enrichment it will bring to our continuously growing community. Having a public library here in our villages will improve the quality of life for so many families living in the Horizon West area, and we can not wait for it to become a part of our daily lives.
We sign this petition today to URGE YOU to take any actions needed to KEEP THE CURRENT PLANS on track for bringing a much-needed OCLS community resource to life for the residents and families of Horizon West. As the OCLS Board of Trustees analysis has already shown, the fast-growing population across the nearly 36 square miles of Horizon West coupled with the long travel distance to existing branches and the availability of an ideal location, makes Horizon West the logical location for the newest OCLS branch.
THANK YOU from all of us in Horizon West for researching, analyzing and committing to plans that will keep the Horizon West branch as the next branch to be developed by OCLS.
NOTE TO SIGNERS: We ask that only residents in and around the Horizon West area sign this petition so that it can accurately show local support.
