Organize a Palestinian Bake Sale at Logan Park

Organize a Palestinian Bake Sale at Logan Park
The issue
Despite our best efforts proposing a fundraising initiative about a Palestinian bake sale at Logan Park, our school's senior leadership team dismissed the proposal, labeling it as too political. This decision left many of us in disappointment, we believe that we should not be told that it is too political to help provide desperately needed medical aid and support to people in need.
The PCRF has a commitment to helping the children within Palestinian territories, Lebanon, and Jordan with much needed medical and humanitarian needs. It is a US-based not-for-profit organization which provides critical aid to Palestinian Children, many of them, victims of unfair conflict and lack medical infastructure. It is unacceptable that an act of help through something as simple as a bake sale can be labeled as controversial and overly political when its sole purpose is humanitarian aid.
In 2020 alone, the PCRF facilitated over 2,000 surgeries for children in need and ran multiple mobile medical missions and clinics. This showcases the immense impact that even small contributions and efforts can make, emphasizing the importance of engaging with projects like these.
We propose to organize a Palestinian bake sale at Logan Park to not only raise much-needed funds for the PCRF but also to help show that their is a difference between being too political and raising funds for a much-needing cause and helping children and families in need.
We urge you to stand with us in encouraging the school to change their stance and allow this fundraiser to take place. Every child deserves access to proper healthcare, and together, we can make a difference. Sign the petition to support our cause and help make this a reality at Logan Park High School.
