My cat was stolen by people that were temporarily watching her. I contacted the police and animal control but they wouldn’t do anything. Even though the people have animal abuse charges against them. The people harassed me and I was denied a order of protection. I filed a civil case but it doesn’t look like the court is going to do anything. I have been told that cats are seen as disposable and even vermin in the eyes of the law and courts. I want them to be treated as valued family members, like dogs are. I want the law to treat crimes involving cats to be treated seriously and to be handled properly. I am sick of being shown that the law doesn’t care about my baby who is everything to me.
