I would like to change the fact that landlords can increase rent at enormous amounts and on places that are not worth the increase. I think rent increase should be managed by not allowing the landlords increase it more than $ 50.00 a year and it be based on the square footage and the condition of the property and what is included in the property. Such as a one bedroom apartment with appliances from the 50's should not be able to go above a certain amount such as 750.00 a month. I think if they do go above they need to include the utilities  such as water/sewer and garbage, but they need to prove that and only increase a reasonable amount due to this.
