We, the undersigned, are urging Oregon State Representatives to sponsor a Bill to Ban Geoengineering.

Geoengineering is the stratospheric injection of aerosols and other nano-sized particles, including bioavailable aluminum, that is highly toxic to the human brain, causing cognitive decline, neural degeneration and impairs behavior (PubMed Central).

Geoengineering, including Solar Geoengineering, are being deployed in the atmosphere across Oregon land and it is affecting the health of all Oregon residents, state forests, recreational waters, local agriculture and rare ecosystems. Weather modification through the use of Geoengineering practices is unethical due to the extreme volume of highly toxic constituents.

Geoengineering pose significant risks and detriment to our environment and public health. Studies have shown that aerosol particulates can lead to respiratory issues and other health problems. There are no established exposure limits and no ability to regulate this when released at large. Further studies on the health impact are necessary before this project should be considered viable.

Children are more sensitive to the introduction of these substances which can impact their lifelong health. Contaminating our community with these chemicals affects the entire web of life with no foresight for the long term impacts on the environment.
