Orbit Books, please re-release The Expanse novels in hardcover (with the Polish art!)
The Issue
Ever heard of The Expanse? It's just a tiny, humble little series of sci-fi novels. Nothing huge. They only tend to be best-sellers upon release. The books also spawned a TV adaptation, which resulted in one of the largest and most successful renewal fan campaigns in television history. So there's that.
But all in all, The Expanse is truly a gem in the world of modern science fiction, and it thusly deserves the gem treatment. For all the love and accolades it receives, there are two things it never did:
1-Mass retail hardcover editions (with subsequent, consistent releases!) of the first three books in the United States - and majority of the world for that matter. While the series' most recent books did indeed receive hardcover releases, Leviathan Wakes, Caliban's War, and Abaddon's Gate did not outside of an EXTREMELY limited (and expensive!) collection.
2-Cover art by Dark Crayon Design! ...Outside of Poland, anyway. Because it's that cool.
And with that, the fans plead to Orbit Books, as well as authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, with this most humble of petitions: Give us fancier editions! We'll buy them! With real money! There is already a market and demand for hardcovers (as the latter books can attest to), the first three books missed out on the fun, and the Dark Crayon artwork is just so. Damn. Cool.
Ando du livit da livit da Belta!
