Orange County, CA refuses to list businesses where employees have tested positive for COVID-19, putting the general public at risk. In particular, supervisors Michelle Steel and Don Wagner and interim health director Dr. Clayton Chau would prefer to leave the general public in the dark about where COVID-19 outbreaks are occurring in Orange County businesses. The county already collects this information, we want it made public.

Dr. Chau argues that reporting COVID-19 outbreaks in businesses discourages the businesses from working with the county. LA County, which has public lists of businesses that have cases of COVID-19, told Voice of OC that the listing has NOT impeded businesses' cooperation with the county officials. It actually incentivizes businesses and keeps their employees healthy!

We want Orange County to follow Los Angeles' example by listing businesses with COVID-19 outbreaks. WE WANT TRANSPARENCY! The safety of OC residents is at stake!
