appeal “potentially dangerous dog” declaration

Anybody who knows me knows how much my 4yr old pitbull Bella means to me & my family. Those who have had the pleasure to meet her know how loving she is. After a recent incident in my neighborhood Bella was impounded at Orange County Animal Control center & declared potentially dangerous. I was given a citation for her being off of my property as well as a fine for them to declare her potentially dangerous.
The reason from what i’ve been told is because Bella popped her leash & escaped with another dog from the neighborhood & some how got into somebody’s chicken farm & the tenant LOCKED the 2 dogs in the chicken coop waiting for the owner of the property & animal control. When they arrived they found 13/20 of the chickens either dead or severely injured, but the dogs DID NOT CONSUME any.
While I take full responsibility for her being off of the property. I feel the county automatically wanted to declare her because of her breed.
My dog has been off of her chain many times throughout the 4 years we’ve had her with no complaints. I’ve only heard good things about Bella, so I NEED your help! I have 48 hours to turn in a letter to appeal the declaration, & I feel enough people have met Bella to contest this. Along with the letter I would like at LEAST 20 signatures in agreement that you DO NOT consider Bella a danger & her declaration should be repealed.
