Opposition to Proposed Rooftop Telecommunications Installation (Ref. 99240) – N4 1JD

Opposition to Proposed Rooftop Telecommunications Installation (Ref. 99240) – N4 1JD
The Issue
We, the undersigned residents, leaseholders, and neighbours of 67-109 Warwick Gardens, N4 1JD object to the proposed installation of telecommunications equipment and antennae on the roof of the above mentioned building (Ref. 99240). Specifically assorted steelwork to accommodate 6no. antenna apertures and 4no. 600m diameter transmission dishes along with 4no. equipment cabinets at roof level.
Our objections are based on the following concerns:
1. Lack of proper consultation with residents and leaseholders.
2. Insufficient information provided about design, siting, visual impact, building safety, and potential disruption.
3. Unclear financial and contractual arrangements between Haringey Council and the telecoms operator, and how these may affect leaseholders.
We therefore call on:
1. Haringey Council and the developer to provide full information, including plans, assessments, agreements, and financial details.
2. A direct meeting between the developer, Haringey Council, and residents to answer questions and address concerns.
3. Haringey Council and developer to explore alternative, less intrusive sites for this equipment that do not involve placing it on the roof of our homes. Such as the current Northgate Park development, which is where the original equipment was located.
Until these issues are properly addressed, we oppose the installation.
