Stop commercial development of 25 plus acres of green space!!

The land at the intersection of McMurray & South Park roads and the surrounding woodlands are in danger of being developed for commercial uses. The portion located in Bethel Park was rezoned with little to no notice to property owners on 5-9-22. The Upper St. Clair parcels are in the zoning process now. If it’s zoned to R-4, it only needs conditional use approval for assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care facilities. The Bethel portion could have anything from a 24 hour gas station, grocery store, restaurants, daycare center. The price for this progress (which the south hills has plenty of those businesses) will be loss of valuable green space, increased traffic, air, noise, & light pollution.
