Opposed to the 7-Eleven Convenience Store proposed for 3rd and Redondo Avenue (Long Beach)
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
We, the undersigned, are opposed to the 7-Eleven Convenience Store proposed project at 301-305 and 311 Redondo Avenue as the area has double the number of allowed liquor licenses (eight), and therefore conflicts with the Long Beach Municipal Code (LBMC) for allowable licenses as well as keeping such businesses 500 feet away from a public school. Adding the proposed project will put an additional burden on the neighborhood to deal with safety and crime. We are in favor of small-scale, high quality retail or restaurant establishments serving and providing value to the local community.
Project Identification: Application No. 1605-33, Conditional Use Permit, Categorical exemption 16-132. The project is located in census tract 5771.
City Codes: LBMC 21.52.201(D) regulates allowable concentration of alcohol sales. Allowance for businesses with liquor licenses in this census tract are four (4) businesses. LBMC 21.52.201(E) regulates distance from schools.
