We are the residents of Crete, Illinois, and we are writing this petition with concern for our community. One of our neighbors, Mr. Fernando Torres, proposes to build a maximum accessory building at the location - 24948 S. Stateline, Crete, IL 60417. The issue concerning us is not the building itself, but its purpose.

Last Spring, Mr. Torres shared with my fiancé, Chuck Schultz, over a casual dog-walking conversation, that he plans to convert this proposed structure into a "party barn". This raises concerns on several levels, potentially causing late-night noise disruptions, parking problems, and safety risks due to potential increase in alcohol consumption in residential areas.

Residential zoning is designated to preserve the peaceful and safe environment of neighborhoods. Standing by this cause, we oppose the said zoning case numbers #ZC-25-002 & V-25-002. We need to ensure zoning laws are respected, and all structures built adhere to the codes that maintain our community harmony and residents' well-being.
