Oppose the demolition of the Lifetime Fitness basketball court

The Issue

Lifetime Fitness North Scottsdale was opened in 2006, and since then thousands of men, women, and children have built a tight-knit community of basketball players who fill up two basketball courts morning, noon, and night, seven days a week.

Lifetime recently announced plans to permanently remove one of the courts, which would bring an abrupt and unceremonious end to our beloved group.

For many of us, these basketball games, and the friendships built during them, are the very foundation of our physical and mental health. They provide exercise, stress release, joy, and an opportunity to build comraderie.

We are a diverse community of people who have grown to become close friends over the years, supporting each other through the ups and downs of life. We have coached each other’s children, celebrated weddings, thrown 50th birthday parties, and even attended funerals together.

Lifetime has temporarily pushed back the demolition of the court as they consider our concerns - so the time to sign and share this petition is right now!

Since 2006, Life Time basketball has been a source of deep and meaningful friendships that we fear will be lost if our beloved court is taken away.

To us, it’s more than just a game.
