Update to the update!  The planning commission meeting was cancelled, so we're going to the City Council meeting on March 9th at 7pm.  If you'd like to go, see the link below for information on how to speak or submit written comments.  Oh, and now we're at almost 700 signatures!

After only a couple of weeks, we have more than 600 signatures!  We’re gaining support every day, as more and more people learn of the plan for an In-N-Out mega drive thru near El Rincon elementary school. Please continue to share the petition.

The next step is for In-N-Out to apply for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP).  We want to nip that in the bud by making the case at the next planning commission meeting (March 11 at 7PM) in advance of that possible application and before In-N-Out takes the next steps with the city.   Although the In-N-Out application is not on the agenda for this meeting, several residents plan to speak during the public comments session to let the committee know the extent of opposition to this plan. Our hope is to stop this from getting approved in the first place and making its way to the City Council.

If the permit does get approved, then we’ll need everyone to show up and let the City Council know that the community overwhelmingly opposes the plan.  Bad for traffic, bad for school safety, and bad for the environment.
